We remove and dispose of your existing system as part of the installation. There's no additional cost for removal — it's included in your fixed quote.
Yes. From 1 March 2027, Victorian legislation requires that failed gas hot water systems be replaced with electric alternatives. You won't be able to replace a broken gas unit with another gas unit. 2026 is the last year to make this switch on your terms — with full government rebates available and enough time to plan the right system for your home rather than making a rushed emergency decision.
To be eligible for the Solar Victoria hot water rebate you need to be an owner-occupier, have a combined household taxable income under $210,000, and the property must not have previously received a Solar Homes hot water rebate. The VEU discount has no income test and is available to all Victorian households. We confirm your eligibility as part of the quote process.
